FIRST AID FOR INSTRUCTORS – 03 DAYS TRAINING PACKAGE

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

The 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course complies with The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Ideal for individuals working in low-risk environments, such as offices or retail, as well as those seeking career opportunities in construction and security industries. This Level 3 training aims to develop and formally recognize participants’ knowledge, understanding, and skills in first aid at work.

First Aid at Work (FAW)

The Level 3 First Aid at Work course is delivered through a blend of two days of training and self-study (blended learning). It is a more advanced course compared to the basic EFAW training. This comprehensive course ensures that successful delegates become competent first aiders in the workplace, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Employers must identify the need for first-aiders in their workplace and ensure they receive appropriate training.

The blended learning approach involves revising part of the course online/eLearning and completing the rest of the training in 2 days of classroom activity. Participants will learn key lifesaving skills, how to handle non-threatening situations, and gain the knowledge to recognize and manage various illnesses and injuries. The course concludes with a multiple-choice questions assessment.

Paediatric First Aid (PFA)

The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course focuses on theoretical and practical training in First Aid techniques specifically for infants aged 0 to 1 and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. The training prepares learners to be competent paediatric first aiders who can assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations involving young children and infants.

This course is suitable for professionals working with or caring for young children and infants, including teachers, playgroup leaders, childcare providers, au pairs, nannies, child-minders, and candidates pursuing an NVQ in Childcare and Education.
